As we enter the Season of world’s celebrating the Birth of the Savior may we, who Trust in Him, make sure we, like the shepherds, tell those around us what we have experienced. The world is searching for peace and joy and this is only found in Jesus Christ! What a blessing it will be to see our friends and loved ones receive the greatest gift – THE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE this Christmas Season!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Of all that we have to be for which to be THANKFUL the PEACE in our hearts that comes through FAITH in the LORD JESUS CHRIST is the greatest! This peace comes from knowing our sin is forgiven, we belong to God, we have a future in Heaven, and that God is with us all the time. As you celebrate Thanksgiving this year take time to reflect on these truths and re-dedicate yourself to loving and serving God each day of the year ahead. What more could we ask from a merciful God!!

“It’s Empty NOW but JUST WAIT!”

emptycamp1As you can see in this picture, the tabernacle at Camp Garwood is EMPTY! Of course preparations are being made to
replace the roof and make some more improvements so….JUST WAIT till we fill it with praise and worship in the months to come.

Call Bro. Chris and ask “What can I do to help?” All of us can PRAY, some of us can WORK, Most of us can GIVE. Just Wait
and See What God Will Do if we let Him use us!

camp theme 2015 Wheat or TaresAt the writing of this report there are 8 Saturday’s left until camp week. Camp is beginning to come together. There’s plenty to do, but overall we are in good shape and looking forward to seeing everyone.

The Theme: “Wheat or Tares?” Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43. Our Evangelist: Bro. Shawn Hammontree.
Worship leaders: The Harper family.

We are going to have a great time!!

ATTENTION: if you are 18 or older you must read the camp rules, child protection policy, have a completed volunteer application and take the online training in order to stay overnight at camp. All of these can be accessed at bmamissouri.org.

Once you complete the application we will send you a link for the training. If you completed the application prior to last year’s camp, you only need to review the camp rules and child protection policy.

There are some things you can do to help as we prepare for camp. Choose a responsible teen to represent your church as a DIT. Bro. Rick is requesting desserts and home-grown fruit and vegetables. Sis. Deiatre is looking for help with recreation activities. You can continue to pray for us and all the folks that make camp work. If you have some free time there are some basic jobs to be done. We have received $737.50 from the mission symposium.

I would like to thank the BMA of MO for the commitment to fund the new tabernacle roof. I’ve been asked about our insurance costs per camper. We pay $8,883.20 annually for Insurance. At 400 campers that’s $22.20 each.

Remember Camp Garwood

Bro. Chris informs us that by the time you read this the camp committee will have met to make some definite plans concerning Camp Garwood. Next month we should have a lot to report as a result of this meeting. Meanwhile, he reminds us that the following dates have been set for the use of the camp this summer:

GMA Retreat – July 10-11
Camp Week – July 27-31

Please keep the camp ministry in your prayers and uplift our committee, Bro. Chris, and our speaker as we prepare for the activities this year and look forward to seeing God work through this ministry.

Don’t forget to continue to DEW! Your Dollar Each Week goes a long way in helping keep our facilities attractive, comfortable, and in good repair. Report your quarterly offerings for DEW and get more information about the program by contacting our DEW Promoter, Cathy Beardsley at 573-380-9502 (text or call)
or leave a message for her on Facebook.
