Even though its origin is questionable, it first appeared in English in the early 16th century and a century later it developed the figurative sense of an overflowing supply. In I Thessalonians 5:18, we are admonished “In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
As we enter the Thanksgiving Season each year we are reminded that we have every reason to give thanks to God all year around and can show that thankfulness through our words, actions, attitude, service, love for others, and many, many other ways. God is our “Horn of PLENTY” and we should Thank Him every day! May each of you have a Reviving Thanksgiving that will last until Jesus comes!
